Chris Tait (The Late Mr Tait) is a singer/songwriter based in Toronto and is the lead singer for roots rock band Lazarettes. Lazarettes latest album, Diviner, was released in 2023. Chris has been writing and recording music in Toronto since before the internet, releasing several solo records and guesting on albums by artists like Ron Hawkins and Sour Landslide.  He continues to be mistaken for the other Chris Tait but, in all honesty, choosing the same industry to work in, employing siblings and giving children the same names isn't really helping clarify anything. 

Chris Tait (T8) is a singer/songwriter based in Toronto and is the lead singer for 80s Pop/Rock Quartet Chalk Circle. 

Chalk Circle’s latest album, As the Crow Flies, was released in 1989.  Chris has been writing and recording music in Toronto since before the internet too, releasing a solo record “Hello, my name is…” in 2002, threatening to record another and, not once guesting on albums by artists Ron Hawkins and Sour Landslide.  He continues to be mistaken for the other Chris Tait but, in all honesty choosing the same industry to work in, employing siblings and giving children the same names isn't really helping clarify anything for him either.
