Dig up and share any extra and bountiful plants from your garden! Put your extra plants in a pot, or just put them in a bucket with dirt and we can pull apart any shoots as needed! If you’re bringing seeds, make sure to bring extra paper envelopes to share!
Tree seedlings are especially welcome - we need to save and plant as many as possible!
What to bring:
Extra plants and seeds from your growing garden, or ones that need a new home.
Pots to put your new plants in.
Optional: Garden gloves, little trowels, a paring knife to cut apart roots. A pen or pencil, and paper to write down names of seeds and plants and any special growing instructions.
*Please remove any weeds tagging along in the dirt!*
And if you don't know much about plants or gardening, we will all be here to share our knowledge together. Let's get planting!
After the plant swap, Alysha Hickey will be doing a talk on her journey to beekeeping and will answer your beekeeping questions!
Hickey is a disabled beekeeper and devoted environmentalist who completed the Humber College Sustainable Urban Beekeeping Program and is excited to share her knowledge with everyone!
Join Alysha as she talks about bees and pollinators, their vital role in our ecosystem, and how we can all make a difference in protecting them to inspire positive change. Get ready for an engaging and bee-tastic journey!
Children and teens encouraged to attend!
Tickets are $5 + HST for adults and free for kids under 18!
