On Sunday, May 14 at 1 PM, Melaw Nakehk'o, Dene/Dënësułinë from the Łiidlii Kue First Nation in Denendeh (also known as the Northwest Territories) will be sharing the story of reclaiming the practice of hide tanning, as well as teaching the significance of land based education and urban hide tanning. Melaw will also have hide tanning tools to show, and will be showing participants part of the hide softening process.
