With the worrying state of media and the battle for attention against hostile algorithms it’s harder than ever for journalists to make their mark and ensure their work is engaging, prescient and eye-catching. On Thursday, July 18th at 7 PM we’re hosting a workshop for journalists to learn how to make engaging video content for online journalism in the face of this, to build skills they can utilize to help their work reach the audiences that need it the most.

Lia Tarachansky is a video journalist and an award-winning documentary filmmaker. She has reported from North America and the Middle East and currently teaches cinematography and media production at film schools throughout Toronto.
